One of the finalists for Browse DTU delivery

The FEED (Front End Engineering Design) will commence immediately and the EPCI (Engineering Procurement Construction & Installation) tender will be submitted mid-2011 with expected contract award end 2011.

Operated by Woodside, the Browse LNG development seeks to process gas and condensate from three fields off the Western Australian coast. The development is a joint venture comprising Woodside, BHP Billiton, BP, Chevron and Shell.

The selected concept includes floating platforms, jacket platforms and an onshore LNG facility. Aker Solutions is now in a delivery competition for the floating platforms: two Tension Leg Platforms (TLP).  These will be the first Tension Leg Platforms in Australia.

The FEED will be delivered from the engineering offices in Oslo and Perth.

Aker Solutions has reached a key milestone in being selected as one of two remaining players for the delivery competition of the Browse LNG development.
