116th Ship with huge cargo hold delivered

The 189.99 m long and 32.26 m broad vessel is a handy-max type bulk carrier of the Mitsui 56 design with a huge cargo hold capacity of over 70,000 m3 and marks the 116th ship of its series. More than 160 units of this series have been ordered from MES. It is powered by a MAN main engine of type 6S50MC-C, service speed is 14.5 knots.

"Fortune Wing" has five cargo holds and four cranes for handling cargo. The size of hatch opening is the largest for this type of vessel in terms of both length and width. Each cargo hold has a sufficient clear length in order to load long pipes and is well strengthened to load heavy cargo such as hot coil etc.

Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., (MES) completed and delivered the 56,000 dwt bulk carrier M.V. “Fortune Wing” (MES Hull No. 1759) at its Tamano Works to White Citron Shipping S.A., Panama.
