CIMAC releases programme for 31st Congress

Attendees at this year’s CIMAC Congress, to take place from May 19th to 23rd in Zurich, can look forward to an exceptional programme. It will include 207 presentations carefully selected from more than 500 submitted abstracts, addressing seven key topics relating to ship propulsion, train drive, and power generation.

Klaus Heim, CIMAC vice president with responsibility for the technical programme, commented: “The exceptional quality of the submissions underscores the significance of this Congress for the entire industry. This high standard of work reflects the dedication and innovation present within our field. I am confident that the CIMAC Congress will once again offer an unparalleled opportunity for manufacturers, colleagues, and customers from around the globe to connect, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations that will drive our industry forward. The diverse range of topics and the international representation will ensure that this Congress is not only informative but also a catalyst for future advancements.”

The organisers urge those who have not yet registered to visit the Conference website (cimaccongress.com) for details, registration and hotel booking links. Unlike previous years, they emphasise that technical tours must be booked in advance.

CIMAC is a non-profit association consisting of National Member Associations and Corporate Members in the US, Asia, and Europe. It provides a forum for technical interchange with all parties interested in piston engines, gas turbine systems, non-shaftline propulsion systems, automation and controls, system integration, and the increasingly important subject of digitalisation. The Congress is usually held once every three years although this was disrupted by the pandemic, with the last event held in Busan, South Korea, in 2023.

CIMAC holds consultative status with the International Maritime Organization.
