At the naming ceremony of the two ISVs
The ISVs are the most powerful and sophisticated RotorTugs® in the world, purpose-built to support Shell’s FLNG facility Prelude, KT Maritime says. Prelude FLNG is the largest floating liquefied natural gas facility ever constructed and will produce and export LNG. It will be located in the Prelude and Concerto gas fields in the Browse LNG Basin, 200km off the coast of Western Australia.
Together with a third ISV, the RT Beagle Bay, which was completed earlier this year, the vessels will be employed to manoeuvre LNG and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers alongside the Prelude, as well as assist with condensate offtakes, emergency response and personnel transfer.
Incorporated in July 2012, KT Maritime is a joint venture established by shipowners and operators Kotug International BV, headquartered in Rotterdam, and Teekay Shipping Australia Pty Ltd.
