A more active level of orders was seen in Asia this week. Six 1,800-TEU feeder container ships were ordered in China with options for six more. Chinese yards also won orders for tankers, bulk carriers and chemical tankers. South Korean yards won orders for product carriers for Asia and Europe along with tankers. In the naval sector, bidding for a huge Indian navy submarine order is expected to start this autumn.
