BLRT Repair Yards completes Baltic Princess overhaul in Naantali

Baltic Princess has had a new paintjob above and below the waterline, as well as renovated interiors

In just over two weeks, BLRT Repair Yards Naantali has successfully completed technical maintenance and upgrades on Tallink Grupp’s 212m-long cruise ferry Baltic Princess.

The EUR 4 million drydocking operation consisted of repainting the vessels’ exterior and bottom, maintenance and inspection, and an extensive renovation of the vessel’s interior spaces.

New interior spaces include a complete renovation of the grill house and piano bar, installation of self-service checkouts in the vessel’s shops, and “brighter and fresher” lobby areas with new lighting, Tallink said.

Meanwhile, at BLRT Repair Yards Klaipeda, Odfjell SE chemical tanker 183m-long Bow Prosper completed its first special survey, and BLRT installed a new Mewis Duct, which optimises water flow into the propeller and makes for more efficient propulsion.
