One of the Caribbean’s leading ship repairers is Damen Shiprepair Curaçao, based in Willemstad, in the Netherlands Antilles. Owned by the Government of the Netherlands Antilles, this major facility has been managed by Damen since 2017 and has had a facilities expansion since 2022.

Undergoing repair on February 29th were the following vessels:

  • Kalymnos – 6,272dwt 2009-built product tanker, owned by Aegean Bunkering Singapore and managed by Greece’s MM Martine Inc, Athens
  • Nasca l – 45,750dwt 1997-built chemical tanker, owned by US operator Transgas International, Coral Springs, Florida
  • Cobeia – 7,716dwt 2012-built offshore service vessel, owned by South Korea’s STX Marine Services, Busan
  • Delta Atlas – 4,200dwt 2013-built platform supply vessel, owned by Trinidad’s Delta Logistics Ltd, Carenage and managed by Norway’s Remøy Shipping
  • Delta Cardinal – 3,832gt 2014-built offshore tug/supply ship, owned by Trinidad’s Delta Logistics Ltd
