US Gulf of Mexico-based offshore services company Harvey Gulf International Marine is modifying its fleet of five dual-fuel LNG/diesel-electric powered OSVs, with a key enhancement being the segregation of liquid mud tanks into six isolated, independent tanksystems. The mud tanks will each be equipped with dedicated pumping, valve, loading and discharge systems, with zero chance of cross-contamination.

The first of the five OSVs to undergo conversion, the 5,397dwt 2016-built Harvey Liberty has already had her work package completed, with work on the remaining four sister ships – Harvey Power, Harvey Energy, Harvey Freedom and Harvey America to follow.
