Major cruise ship drydockings in March

There are a number of major drydocking projects for cruise vessels taking place around the world during March, including the following:

  • Navigator of the Seas – 139,999gt 2002-built, owned by Royal Caribbean International. At the Tuas Boulevard yard of Singapore’s Seatrium from February 16th to early April
  • MSC Sinfonia – 65,542gt 2002-built, owned by MSC Cruises. At Palumbo Malta Shipyards in Valletta from February 19th to March 24th
  • Carnival Glory – 110,239gt 2003-built, owned by Carnival Cruise Lines. At the Cadiz yard of Spain’s Navantia from March 24th through to April 18th
  • Villa Vie Odyssey – 24,344gt 1993-built, owned by US-based start-up company Villa Vie Residences. At Belfast’s Harland & Wolff shipyard for ten weeks from mid-March for conversion into a residence at sea vessel. The vessel is due to sail on a three-year maiden world cruise from Southampton on May 15th. This vessel is the former Braemar, owned by the UK’s Fred Olsen Cruise Line, which has been laid up in Rosyth, Scotland since the Covid pandemic and was handed over to her new owners at the beginning of March
  • Blue Sapphire – 37,049gt 1981-built, owned by Turkey’s Selectum Blu Cruises (Anex Tours). At Turkey’s ICDS Shiprepair Yard in Canakkale and set to resume three- and four-night cruise to the Greek islands from the port of Cemre in May. This vessel is the former Saga Sapphire, owned by UK cruise line Saga Cruises
