Singapore’s Seatrium secures FPSO topsides integration contract from SBM Offshore
Singapore’s Seatrium, world leader in the conversion and topsides integration work on FPSOs, has been awarded a repeat contract by Single Buoy Mooring Inc. (an SBM Offshore subsidiary) for the topsides fabrication and installation work on the FPSO Jaguar.
This vessel will be used by SBM Offshore and ExxonMobil Guyana in the Stabroek block offshore Guyana.
This is Seatrium’s 29th major project for SBM Offshore. Seatrium’s scope of work includes the fabrication of several topside modules, riser, mooring and umbilical structures, followed by the installation and integration of these structures and all topside modules for the FPSO Jaguar.
Seatrium will also support SBM Offshore with pre-commissioning and commissioning work of the vessel.
The FPSO Jaguar is designed to produce 250,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and an associated gas treatment capacity of 540 million cubic feet per day (mmscfd), a water injection capacity of 300,000 barrels of water per day (bwpd) and a storage capacity of seven million barrels of oil.
Work in Singapore on FPSO Jaguar is expected to start during the third quarter of 2024. Upon completion of the project, the vessel will be deployed to service the Whiptail Field offshore Guyana.
To date, Seatrium has been involved in delivering three FPSO projects, namely FPSO Liza Destiny, FPSO Liza Unity and FPSO Prosperity, as part of the series of FPSOs bound for Guyana and is also on track to deliver the fourth Guyanese FPSO project, One Guyana FPSO.
In recent years, Guyana has emerged as the world’s fastest growing offshore oil and gas region, since its first offshore discovery in 2015.
