Space for new projects in Bremerhaven

With 335m-long cruise vessel Aroya having left Bredo Dry Docks this month following an extensive refurbishment, as well as the departure of Netherlands-flagged container vessel Sven D, Bremerhaven’s Dockstraße is settling down somewhat, the repair yard reports, “just in time for Christmas”.

Dock 6, meanwhile, has opened up following the departure of exploration yacht Voyager, a refitted offshore supply vessel constructed by Swiftships in Louisiana in 1997 as Candy Trader, later converted to a yacht in Florida repair yard Dania Cut. The vessel first arrived at Bremerhaven for a refit in May this year.

“The dock now has space for new exciting projects – we are looking forward to it!” said a statement from Bredo Dry Docks on LinkedIn.

Netherlands-flagged water jet dredging pontoon Aquadelta currently occupies Dock 1; Antigua-flagged general cargo vessel Emma awaits spare parts; and in Cuxhaven, German-flagged oil products tanker Capella remains the occupant of Dock 8.
